Meet the Counselor

A. Renee Fromm is the owner and lead therapist of TreeHouse Counseling and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Collin College. Renee obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology from the University of California, San Diego with a minor in music, followed by a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Her master’s thesis on psychological child abuse is titled “Paved with Good Intentions: A Definitional Study on the Issue of Psychological Child Abuse.”

Renee completed her licensure internship providing child therapy and crisis services at Child and Family Guidance Center and ADAPT Crisis, and later served as Director of the HEART Program—a counseling initiative for sexually abused children—at Community Partners of Dallas for two years. A licensed supervisor since 2013, she brings over 30 years of experience working directly with children and 20 years of individual and group therapy expertise. Her clinical focus encompasses a wide range of developmental disorders and mental health diagnoses, including ADHD/ADD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Adjustment Disorders, trauma recovery, and anxiety reduction.

For the past twenty years, Renee has been proud to call Frisco home, founding Treehouse Counseling fifteen years ago to serve the local community. When she isn’t working with clients, you can find her spending time with her husband and their adult twins, volunteering locally, or singing in a choir. Her family roots run deep in the area: after growing up through Frisco ISD, her daughter now practices as an Honors Attorney in Washington, D.C., while her son works nearby as an IT engineer in the DFW Metroplex.
